The excitement of attending this year’s International Rally in Canyonville is growing daily in our house. The Oregon Chapter always puts on such a great Rally. Tony and I don’t want to miss anything so we will arrive on Saturday, June 21 to get settled plus meet and greet our fellow McKenzie Club members AND, we can’t forget the “Sob's”.
Our Chapter is responsible for the decorations and raffle prizes on Wednesday night at the Rally. Sooooooo, we are asking for your help. We would greatly appreciate someone taking on the decorations as they are not my (Juliann) forte. The theme is Halloween. I talked to the Wagon Master about decorating the tables and room. She suggested concentrating on the tables since there are no windows or walls (are the folding kind) to be decorated. Please contact us at 707-252-3630 or caiocca@sbcglobal.net as soon as possible. The budget is $150 to decorate 20 tables. I can tell you more when you contact us.
Tony and I will be responsible for obtaining the raffle prizes. We should have between 25-30 prizes. Please contact us if you can donate a prize. Prizes in the past have been gift cards to Wal-Mart, Starbucks, RV gear, wine, homemade items and so forth. Just use your imagination. Whatever you donate will be greatly appreciated.
The March 5-9 rally in Pahrump, Nevada was a great success thanks to Joan Beall’s hard work. She never quits , she’s like the energizer bunny. There were 30 campers. We had great sites together and near (very near) a casino. Some won, but most “fed the machines”! We gathered each day for delicious meals, an Ice Cream Social, cocktail/social time and some went on a winery “tour and Tasting”. Jim and Joan thanks everyone who attended and pitched in to help each day. We thank them for all they did to make the rally so enjoyable and fun.
This will be our last Newsletter writing as we are retiring as Tail Bosses at the Rally. So far, no one has contacted us about taking the reins (no pun intended). Please think about saying YES at the rally. Thank you one and all for all of your help and support not only in our Chapter but folks from other Chapters who gave us a hand and/ or ideas for our rallies. Thank you too, to Linda Denise for doing such a great job on our Newsletter.
